The SECO 03276276 is a DNMG432-MF4 indexable turning insert in grade TM2501, manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr. The 55-degree diamond shape (Insert Shape Code D) and MF4 chip breaker geometry make this insert well-suited for medium finishing operations. It features a neutral hand orientation, a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, and four usable cutting edges. The inscribed circle measures 0.5 inches, the corner radius is 0.0315 inches (1/32 inch), and the insert thickness is 0.1875 inches (3/16 inch). This insert complies with ANSI and ISO standards and carries the ISO designation DNMG150408-MF4.
This insert is engineered for primary use on stainless steel (ISO Material Code M) and is also rated for steel (ISO Material Code P) applications. Material grades M25, M30, and M35 define the recommended application range. It is suited for back turning, boring, facing, and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers in production and job-shop environments. The MF4 chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation during light-to-medium depth finishing passes, making it a practical choice for close-tolerance stainless steel components.
Designed for use in DNMG-style toolholders that accept clamp, pin, or lever lock insert holding methods with a 0.2028-inch hole diameter. Suitable for CNC lathes and turning centers configured for DNMG432 inserts per ANSI and ISO standard toolholder designations.
This insert is installed and indexed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing any cutting insert. Use the appropriate torque wrench and seating screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing the insert clamp or lever lock. Inspect the insert seat and chip pocket for debris before seating a new edge to ensure proper contact and prevent premature edge failure.
