The SECO 03276275 is a DNMG432-MF4 series indexable turning insert with a TM1501 grade designation and Duratomic CVD coating consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr layers. Shaped as a 55-degree diamond, it delivers four usable cutting edges per insert and is designed for negative-rake, neutral-hand turning operations. The MF4 chip breaker geometry and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge style are optimized for semi-finishing and finishing passes. Primary material suitability is stainless steel (ISO M), with secondary suitability for carbon and alloy steels (ISO P). This insert is specified and installed by CNC machinists and tooling engineers in production turning environments.
The 03276275 insert is suited for external and internal turning operations including facing, boring, back turning, and standard turning. Its DNMG geometry is compatible with standard negative-rake DNMG toolholders using clamp, pin, or lever-lock insert-holding methods. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.5012 inches and an inscribed circle of 0.5 inches, this insert handles a wide range of material removal tasks on stainless steel and steel workpieces in both job-shop and production settings.
Designed for use in standard negative-rake DNMG toolholders accepting clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards; ISO code DNMG150408-MF4, industry standard number DNMG432-MF4. Material grades M15, M20, and M25 indicate suitability for stainless steel and steel workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing inserts. Ensure the insert pocket and seating surfaces are clean and free of chips before clamping. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping torque and securing method to prevent insert movement during the cut.
