The SECO 03276210 is a DCMT-series turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual turning applications. Manufactured from solid carbide and CVD-coated with a Duratomic TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr multilayer finish, this insert is engineered to handle demanding cuts on stainless steel and steel workpieces. The F1 chip breaker geometry delivers a sharp cutting edge with a positive rake angle of 17 degrees, promoting clean chip formation and reduced cutting forces. The 55-degree diamond insert shape provides two cutting edges per insert, and the TM2501 grade is rated for material grades M25, M30, and M35. This insert is a practical choice for machinists and toolroom professionals working on production turning operations.
This insert is suited for a wide range of turning operations including back turning, boring, facing, and standard OD turning on stainless steel and steel components. It carries an ISO code of DCMT11T304-F1 and meets both ANSI and ISO standards, making it a straightforward swap for shops working from ISO tooling callouts. The neutral hand orientation makes it compatible with standard DCMT-style insert pockets. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use in DCMT-style insert toolholders with screw-clamp holding. Primary workpiece material is stainless steel (ISO material code M); secondary application is steel (ISO material code P). Applicable material grades are M25, M30, and M35. Multi-use rated for back turning, boring, facing, and turning operations.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder pocket is clean and free of debris before seating the insert. Secure the insert using the appropriate torx or hex key for the screw-clamp system per the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Verify insert orientation and pocket fit before resuming cutting operations.
