The SECO 03276001 is a CNMG432-MR7 series indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 1/32-inch (0.0315-inch) corner radius, and a 3/16-inch insert thickness. The neutral hand orientation and MR7 chip breaker geometry are designed for controlled chip formation across a range of feed rates and depths. With four cutting edges and a T-Land cutting edge style, this insert delivers consistent tool life in production turning environments. Installation is performed by licensed machinists or tool-room technicians.
The 03276001 is suited for boring, facing, and turning operations on stainless steel (primary) and steel (secondary) workpieces. Material grades M25, M30, and M35 define its recommended application range under ISO classification. The negative rake geometry and T-Land edge prep support interrupted cuts and work-hardening materials typical in industrial machining. This insert is compatible with CNMG-style toolholders that accept clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods and is cataloged under ISO code CNMG120408-MR7 and industry standard number CNMG432-MR7. It is a multi-use insert rated for repeated indexing across all four cutting edges before replacement.
Designed for use in CNMG-style toolholders accepting clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods. ISO code CNMG120408-MR7 and industry standard number CNMG432-MR7 apply. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards for indexable insert geometry.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tool-room technician. Power down and de-energize the machine tool before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing the clamping screw or lever-lock mechanism. Inspect the toolholder seat and clamp for damage before seating a new insert edge.
