The SECO 03275995 is a CNMP432-MF1 series solid carbide turning insert in the TM2501 manufacturer grade, designed for high-performance single-point turning, facing, and boring operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. It features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr for extended wear resistance and thermal stability. The insert has an 80-degree diamond shape, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch (0.0315-inch) corner radius. The MF1 chip breaker geometry is optimized for light to medium material removal, and the honed cutting edge style reduces built-up edge on difficult-to-machine alloys. Rated for material grades M25, M30, and M35 under ISO classification. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers install this insert type on qualified toolholders in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is primarily suited for machining stainless steel (ISO material code M) and secondarily for carbon and alloy steel (ISO material code P). The CNMP432-MF1 geometry supports turning, facing, and boring applications in both finishing and light semi-finish passes. Its neutral hand orientation makes it compatible with a range of right- and left-hand toolholder configurations using clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods. The 4 usable cutting edges per insert reduce tooling cost per edge in medium-duty production runs. Applications span CNC turning centers in light manufacturing, precision parts shops, and aerospace or medical component production where stainless and steel alloys are common workpiece materials.
Designed for CNMP-style toolholders that accept a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, 3/16-inch thick, 80-degree diamond insert with clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or indexing the insert in the toolholder. Ensure the insert pocket and seating surfaces are clean and free of chips or debris before clamping, as contamination causes premature edge failure and chatter. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut for the selected chipbreaker geometry; the maximum depth of cut for this insert is 0.4756 inches as stated in the product specifications.
