The SECO 03275939 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CCMT-F1 series, designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the industry standard designation CCMT32.52-F1 (ISO: CCMT09T308-F1) and is manufactured to ANSI and ISO tolerances under the M and C tolerance and clearance codes. The insert features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating — TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr — optimized for wear resistance and thermal stability. With a positive rake angle of 17 degrees and a sharp cutting edge, it delivers clean, consistent cuts in demanding applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as a direct screw-held replacement in compatible toolholders.
This insert is engineered primarily for stainless steel (material code M) and secondarily for steel (material code P), covering material grades M15, M20, and M25. The F1 chip breaker geometry supports boring, facing, and turning operations. The neutral hand orientation suits a wide range of toolholder setups. It is appropriate for both light and moderate depth-of-cut passes in production and job-shop environments where surface finish and insert life on difficult-to-machine alloys are priorities.
Designed for use in CCMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting inserts with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, 5/32-inch thickness, and 0.1772-inch hole diameter. Verify toolholder compatibility against the CCMT09T308 or CCMT32.52 insert seat specification before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamp screw to toolholder specification — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can crack under excess clamping force. Inspect the insert seat and clamp for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
