The SECO 03273547 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation LPKT05T210TR-M05 in manufacturer grade MP2501. It is a single-sided, right-hand, rectangular insert with a positive rake angle of 11 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style. The insert features a CVD-applied Duratomic coating combining TiCN and Al2O3 layers, designed to extend tool life when cutting ferrous and difficult-to-machine alloys. With two cutting edges, a 1.00 mm corner radius, and an inscribed circle of 5.07 mm, this insert is sized for light-to-medium milling operations in the LPKT-05 series. It is installed and serviced by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This insert is designed for milling steel as its primary workpiece material, with rated capability across stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It fits the R217.21-LP05 cutter series and is held in place by a screw-type clamping method. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and profile milling on CNC machining centers in both production and job-shop environments. The M05 chip breaker geometry supports consistent chip formation across the listed material grades.
Designed for use in R217.21-LP05 series milling cutters. Rated for primary workpiece material Steel (P) and secondary workpiece materials Stainless Steel (M), Cast Iron (K), and Superalloys and Titanium (S).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key for the insert clamping screw and tighten to the cutter body manufacturer specification found in the cutter body documentation. Inspect the insert pocket for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
