The SECO 03273260 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation SCET120630T-M14 in manufacturer grade MP2501. It features a square insert shape with a 90-degree included angle, four cutting edges, and a neutral hand orientation. The CVD-applied Duratomic coating combines TiCN and Al2O3 layers for extended tool life in demanding milling operations. A positive rake angle of 15 degrees and T-Land cutting edge style reduce cutting forces and improve chip evacuation. The insert is held in place by a screw and fits the R220.21-SC12 cutter series. Licensed HVAC and metalworking professionals recognize this insert for consistent performance in high-production milling environments.
This insert is suited for milling steel as its primary workpiece material, with additional application coverage for stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The M14 chip breaker geometry is optimized for these material groups. It is designed for use in face milling and shoulder milling operations on CNC machining centers where controlled chip formation and thermal resistance are critical. The fine-grain carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds without sacrificing edge integrity.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and all energy sources locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Use the correct torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure — do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket seat for debris or damage before seating the insert. Replace all four cutting edges before reordering to maximize insert utilization.
