Product Description

The SECO 03272860 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation XOMX180604TR-ME13 and manufactured grade MP2501. It features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, a positive 25-degree rake angle, and a T-Land cutting edge style. The CVD-applied Duratomic coating — TiCN over Al2O3 — delivers thermal resistance and wear protection during aggressive milling. With two cutting edges, a right-hand orientation, and screw-type holding, this insert is designed for consistent, repeatable performance in production milling environments. A licensed machinist or CNC tooling technician installs this insert in compatible cutter bodies.

This insert targets steel as its primary workpiece material and carries secondary ratings for stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It is suited to face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose milling operations in both job-shop and production environments. The ME13 chip breaker geometry is optimized for controlled chip formation across these material groups. Maximum depth of cut reaches 8.25 mm (0.3244 inches).
