The SECO 03272843 is a solid carbide milling insert with ANSI and ISO designation XOMX10T304TR-M09, manufactured in grade MP2501 with a Duratomic CVD-applied TiCN and Al2O3 coating. This parallelogram-shaped, single-sided insert carries a positive rake angle of 10.6 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style, delivering a clean, controlled cut geometry suited for productive face and shoulder milling. With 2 cutting edges, a maximum depth of cut of 4.65 mm, and a 15-degree relief angle, this insert is engineered for high-performance metal removal in demanding production environments. Installation and replacement are handled by licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This insert is designed for milling steel as its primary workpiece material, with secondary capability across stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The M09 chip breaker geometry is suited for moderate to roughing cuts in these material groups. The insert seats in a screw-clamping holder and is compatible with SECO cutter series R217.69-10 and R220.69-10. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and general production machining on CNC machining centers in both job shop and high-volume manufacturing settings.
Compatible with SECO cutter series R217.69-10 and R220.69-10. Rated for primary use on steel (ISO material code P) and secondary use on stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), and superalloys and titanium (S). Insert conforms to ANSI and ISO code XOMX10T304TR-M09.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the tool manufacturer's specified torque as listed in the cutter body documentation. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before installing a new insert.
