Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician following the cutter body manufacturer torque specifications for the clamping screw. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket seat for chips or debris before seating the insert, as contamination will affect runout and edge life.
