The SECO 03212677 is a solid carbide milling insert in the LPKW09T420TR-D15 style, designed for high-feed face milling and shoulder milling operations. It carries a dual PVD coating of TiSiN and TiAlN over a medium-grain carbide substrate graded MK2050, delivering wear resistance and heat stability during aggressive cuts. The insert measures 0.5512 inches in cutting edge effective length, 0.3740 inches inscribed circle diameter, and 0.1874 inches thick. With a 90-degree included angle, neutral rake, T-Land cutting edge style, and an 11-degree relief angle, it is suited for machinists and CNC operators running production runs on cast iron, steel, and hard materials.
This insert fits applications in both job-shop and production-floor environments where consistent chip control and tool life are priorities. Primary workpiece material is cast iron (K-grade), with secondary suitability for steel and hard materials (P and H grades). The D15 chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation across a range of cut depths up to 0.0700 inches. It is a single-sided, right-hand insert held by screw clamping. Compatible cutter series include R217.21-LP09 and R220.21-LP09. This insert is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the tool body per the cutter body manufacturer torque specification. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before installing a new insert.
