The SECO 03205004 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of hard materials in demanding machining environments. Part of the JMB112 series, it features a 1.20 mm (0.0472 inch) mill diameter with a 0.60 mm nose radius and a 28-degree medium helix angle. The HXT PVD coating is engineered to withstand the elevated cutting temperatures associated with hard material applications. With an extended reach configuration and a 6.80 mm neck length, this end mill accesses recessed features that standard-length tools cannot reach. Machinists and tool-room professionals install this tool on CNC milling centers for fine-detail and contour work in hardened steels and similar materials.
This end mill is suited for single-end roughing and finishing operations on hard workpiece materials (material code H). The extended reach and 8.00 mm reach length make it appropriate for mold, die, and aerospace component machining where deep-cavity access is required. The straight-cylindrical shank (6.00 mm diameter, h5 tolerance) mounts directly into standard collet or shrink-fit toolholders. It cuts in a right-hand direction with right-hand helical flutes and a micrograin carbide substrate for edge integrity under high-speed conditions.
Designed as a single-end ball end mill in the SECO JMB112 series (catalog number JMB112012G3BZ2.0-HXT) for hard material (H-code) milling on CNC machining centers accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The tool must be seated securely in a collet, hydraulic, or shrink-fit holder rated for the shank diameter before spindle operation. Verify runout at the tool tip does not exceed the rated TIR before beginning a cut. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines and any applicable shop safety procedures when changing tooling.
