The SECO 03127386 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. Built to Series JH780 specifications, it features a 1.83 mm diameter, a 23.5 mm length of cut, and a 1 mm corner radius across four right-hand spiral flutes. The HXT coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection suited to cutting high-temperature alloys. With an 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank and a 63 mm overall length, this single-end tool is configured for short-reach finishing and semi-finishing passes where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This end mill is engineered for machining high-temperature alloys, identified by workpiece material code S, which includes nickel-based superalloys and similar difficult-to-cut materials. Its medium helix style balances chip evacuation with cutting stability at the small diameters involved. The tool is suited for CNC machining centers in aerospace, power generation, and precision component manufacturing environments where tight tolerances and surface finish requirements are standard.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application solid carbide end mill within the SECO JH780 series, suitable for standard straight-bore toolholders accepting an 8 mm shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque and runout specifications. Confirm shank seating depth and verify radial runout at the spindle before starting a cut. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool, so external coolant or air blast should be directed at the cutting zone. Always inspect the cutting edge under magnification before use and after each job when working with high-temperature alloys.
