The SECO 03115935 is a 6-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The tool features a 0.015 inch corner radius, a 0.250 inch cutting diameter, and a 5/8 inch length of cut. The AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting environments. A 38-degree medium helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. This end mill is centercutting and handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool, making it a practical choice for machinists running steel and exotic alloys on CNC machining centers.
The 03115935 belongs to the SECO S638R series and is suited for use in CNC milling applications where tight tolerances and surface quality are required. The right-hand spiral flute geometry and close pitch configuration make it well matched for slotting, side milling, and contouring in ferrous and superalloy workpieces. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. This tool is appropriate for professional machinists and toolroom applications in manufacturing, aerospace, and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, S). Part of the SECO S638R series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clean before tightening to avoid runout beyond the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool's rated length of cut or apply side loads that exceed the tool's designed engagement parameters.
