The SECO 03115933 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and exotic materials. Built to Series S638R specifications, it features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0100 inch corner radius, and six flutes with a 38-degree helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection during demanding cuts. With a short flute geometry and close pitch, this tool handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding application flexibility. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length on a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank, it fits standard toolholders and collet chucks used in vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting direction suit conventional and climb milling operations across a range of part features.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom operator. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and within specified runout tolerances before seating the shank; maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inch. Confirm spindle is fully stopped and machine is in a safe state before loading or removing the end mill. Verify feed, speed, and depth-of-cut parameters match the workpiece material before initiating a cut.
