The SECO 03113818 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation LPKT05T210TR-M05 in the MP2050 manufacturer grade. Designed for indexable face and shoulder milling operations, this single-sided right-hand insert features a rectangular shape with a positive rake angle of 11 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style. It is PVD-coated with a TiAlN and TiSiN multilayer finish, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability at high cutting speeds. With 2 cutting edges and a corner radius of 0.0394 inches, the insert is engineered for productive, consistent performance on difficult workpiece materials in demanding production environments.
This insert is intended for use in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium milling applications, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and S. It is suited to both roughing and semi-finishing passes where controlled chip formation is required. The M05 chip breaker geometry supports reliable chip evacuation across these material groups. The insert is compatible with the R217.21-LP05 cutter series and is well-matched to horizontal and vertical machining center setups in job shop and production environments. Installation requires a screw-holding method standard to LP-series milling bodies.
Designed for use with the R217.21-LP05 cutter series. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces across ISO material groups P, M, and S.
This insert is installed and indexed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician using the screw-holding method standard to LP-series milling bodies. Power down and lock out the spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to achieve proper clamping torque without damaging the insert seat. Inspect the pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
