The SECO 03096635 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual lathe applications. Cataloged under ISO code TCMT110204-F1 with manufacturer grade TP3501, this insert features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating combining TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr for extended tool life in steel and stainless steel operations. The triangular insert geometry provides three cutting edges per insert, and the F1 chip breaker is optimized for sharp, positive-rake cutting action. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide body. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the insert.
