The SECO 03096305 is a CNMG432-M6 series indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr. It carries manufacturer grade TP3501 and is designed for general turning, facing, and boring operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch (0.0315-inch) corner radius with a honed cutting edge style. The M6 chip breaker geometry and negative rake angle make this insert well suited for medium to roughing-depth cuts in steel and stainless steel applications. Qualified machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers of this insert type.
This insert is intended for use in steel (ISO material code P, grades P20, P30, and P40) as the primary workpiece material, with stainless steel (ISO material code M) as the secondary target material. Typical applications include external and internal turning, facing, and boring passes on production parts in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing environments. The CNMG432-M6 geometry fits a wide range of standard CNMG toolholders configured for clamp, pin, or lever-lock insert retention. The ISO equivalent designation is CNMG120408-M6, which can assist in cross-referencing compatible toolholder systems.

Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Always power down the machine and engage the spindle lock before seating or indexing an insert.
