The SECO 03095593 is a solid carbide TNMG-style turning insert with grade TP3501, designed for general turning operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 60-degree triangular insert shape with a neutral hand orientation and a TiCN and Al2O3 CVD Duratomic coating that extends tool life when cutting steel and stainless steel. The MR7 chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium roughing work, and the T-Land cutting edge style adds edge strength. With six usable cutting edges and a 0.063-inch corner radius, this insert delivers consistent performance across facing, back turning, boring, and standard turning passes. This insert is primarily intended for turning steel and stainless steel workpieces in production machining environments. It fits standard TNMG toolholders with clamp, pin, or lever lock holding methods. Typical applications include external turning, facing, and boring operations on CNC lathes and manual engine lathes. The MR7 chip breaker geometry supports medium feed rates and moderate depths of cut up to 0.929 inches, making it appropriate for roughing and semi-finishing passes in job-shop and production settings.

Insert seating and clamping should be performed with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Ensure the insert pocket and seating surfaces are clean and free of chips before seating the insert. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-recommended clamping hardware for the toolholder style in use. Inspect the cutting edge and chip breaker for damage before each use; do not continue running a chipped or fractured insert.
