The SECO 03095445 is a CCMT-series indexable turning insert designed for metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the ISO designation CCMT09T308-M5 and the industry standard number CCMT32.52-M5. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr. This coating system improves wear resistance and heat management during continuous and interrupted cuts. With an 80-degree diamond shape, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius, the insert delivers a predictable cutting geometry for finishing and semi-finishing passes. The M5 chip breaker and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge style are suited for general turning in steel-dominant applications.
This insert is intended for turning, facing, and boring operations primarily in steel (material grade P20, P30, P40) and secondarily in stainless steel. It is a neutral-hand insert, making it suitable for both left- and right-hand toolholders that accept the CCMT geometry. The screw-lock holding method is standard on most CCMT-compatible toolholders. It is commonly used in job shops, maintenance machining, and production turning environments. The Wiper Edge feature is not present on this insert. The insert is sold individually (package quantity of 1) with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for CCMT-geometry toolholders accepting the CCMT09T308 (ISO) or CCMT32.52 (ANSI) insert size. Primary workpiece material is steel (ISO code P); secondary workpiece material is stainless steel (ISO code M). Material grades P20, P30, and P40 are confirmed for this insert grade.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before changing inserts, power down the spindle and engage the machine lockout per facility safety procedures. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to loosen and re-seat the clamping screw without over-torquing, which can crack the carbide seat or insert. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seat shim for damage or debris before indexing to the fresh cutting edge.
