The SECO 03095440 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CCMT-M3 series, designed for precision metal turning applications in CNC and manual lathe operations. It carries the industry standard designation CCMT32.51-M3 and ISO code CCMT09T304-M3. The insert features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr, which improves wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The 80-degree diamond shape provides a strong cutting geometry, while the M3 chip breaker and chamfered and honed cutting edge style deliver controlled chip flow and consistent surface finish. With 2 cutting edges and a positive rake, this insert balances tool life with cutting efficiency on ferrous workpiece materials.
This insert is intended for boring, facing, and turning operations where steel and stainless steel are the primary workpiece materials. It is suited for material grades P20, P30, and P40, making it a practical choice for general-purpose and medium-duty machining in both production and job-shop environments. A licensed machinist or CNC tooling technician would typically install this insert in a compatible CCMT-style screw-on toolholder. The insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
