The SECO 03095432 is a CCMT-series solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal removal in CNC turning, boring, and facing operations. It carries a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr, which extends edge life and resists heat buildup at the cutting zone. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 1/4-inch inscribed circle, a 1/64-inch corner radius, and an MF2 chip breaker geometry. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working on steel and stainless steel workpieces in production turning environments.
This insert is suited for light to medium turning, boring, and facing applications on steel and stainless steel. The MF2 chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing and semi-finishing cuts at moderate feed rates and depths. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.2362 inches and a positive rake configuration, it performs efficiently on P-grade and M-grade workpiece materials including P20, P30, and P40 material grades. It is compatible with standard CCMT screw-on toolholders and is commonly used in both job-shop and high-volume production turning setups.
Designed for use in screw-on CCMT-style toolholders. Compatible with ISO code CCMT060204-MF2 and industry standard CCMT21.51-MF2 toolholder seats. Primary workpiece materials are steel (P-code) and stainless steel (M-code), including P20, P30, and P40 material grades. Conforms to ANSI and ISO insert standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder specification — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can crack under excessive clamping force. Inspect the toolholder pocket for wear or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper seating and edge orientation.
