The SECO 03095430 is a CCMT-style solid carbide turning insert in the CCMT21.51-F1 geometry, manufactured to the TP3501 grade with a CVD-applied Duratomic coating that layers TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr for wear resistance on ferrous materials. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a 1/4-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/64-inch corner radius with a sharp cutting edge. The F1 chip breaker geometry and positive rake angle support controlled chip evacuation across a range of depths and feed rates. With four usable cutting edges and screw-style holding, it delivers consistent indexing in production turning applications. This insert is installed by CNC machinists, toolroom technicians, and production operators working in steel and stainless steel applications.
This insert is suited for boring, facing, and turning operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. It carries a primary workpiece material classification of P (steel) and a secondary classification of M (stainless steel), with material grades P20, P30, and P40. The F1 chip breaker is optimized for light to medium roughing passes where chip control is critical. It is appropriate for use in both production shops and job shops running ferrous components at moderate to high surface speeds.
Designed for CCMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 1/4-inch inscribed circle insert. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards; ISO code CCMT060204-F1, industry standard number CCMT21.51-F1. Compatible with toolholders specifying clearance code C and tolerance code M inserts.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians following machine-specific lockout and energy-isolation procedures before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the pocket locating surfaces before tightening the clamping screw to the toolholder specification. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris prior to seating a new cutting edge. Dispose of worn carbide inserts in accordance with applicable shop and local regulations for carbide and coated cutting tool waste.
