Manufactured to grade TP3501 with a Duratomic CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr, this insert delivers thermal resistance and wear performance suited to steel and stainless steel machining. It features a negative rake geometry with a neutral hand orientation, a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle, and a 0.0315-inch corner radius. With six cutting edges per insert and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, it offers extended tool life in medium to heavy roughing and semi-finishing passes. This insert is engineered for back turning, boring, facing, and turning operations on steel (ISO material code P) and stainless steel (ISO material code M), covering material grades P20, P30, and P40.
