The SECO 03093884 is a WNMG332-M3 indexable turning insert designed for steel and stainless steel machining applications. It is manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr for extended wear resistance and thermal stability. The insert features an 80-degree trigon shape, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius, placing it in the WNMG-M3 series. With six cutting edges and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, this insert is intended for use on CNC lathes and turning centers in production environments. It is installed and set up by machinists and CNC operators working on steel turning, facing, and boring operations.
This insert is suited for general-purpose turning, facing, and boring on carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel workpieces. It carries an ISO material grade designation of P20, P30, and P40 for steel, and M-grade for stainless steel, making it appropriate for a broad range of medium to roughing cuts. The M3 chip breaker geometry is designed to manage chip control across varying feed rates and depths of cut. It is compatible with standard WNMG-style toolholders that accept clamp, pin, or lever-lock insert holding methods.
Compatible with WNMG-style toolholders that use clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods. Fits holders designed for a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, 3/16-inch insert thickness, and 0.150-inch hole diameter. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards; ISO code WNMG060408-M3.
This insert is installed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamping hardware specified for the toolholder to secure the insert without cracking the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert seat and clamping mechanism for debris or wear before seating a new insert.
