The SECO 03084169 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal in stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries a 0.5-inch mill diameter with a 0.0300-inch corner radius and runs four right-hand spiral flutes with a variable helix for reduced chatter and improved surface finish. The tool is coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, which increases thermal resistance and extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-inch length of cut, it is built for both roughing and finishing operations in a compact, short-length configuration. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, medical, and die-mold shops are the primary users.
This end mill fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders with a 0.5-inch shank diameter. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry, making it suitable for pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations. The Series STR440.2 designation places it within a micrograin carbide product family optimized for ISO material groups M, S, and H, covering austenitic stainless steels, nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and hardened steels. Normal pitch and a high helix angle work together to promote chip evacuation in tough materials.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Confirm spindle direction is right-hand before operation. Always verify that feeds, speeds, and depth of cut are set according to the machine tool and workpiece requirements before engaging the cut.
