The SECO 03084138 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 3/16 inch diameter, 4 flutes, and a 0.0100 inch corner radius, it delivers accurate edge geometry for both roughing and finishing passes. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness suited to aggressive cuts in stainless steel, superalloys, and hard materials. The high helix variable-helix spiral flute design promotes chip evacuation and reduces chatter. Installed in a standard toolholder, this single-end centercutting mill is specified by machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, medical, and precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is intended for use in stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials — material codes M, S, and H. The 9/16 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length make it well suited to moderate-depth pockets, slots, and contour passes where a short-to-medium reach is sufficient. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pilot hole. It mounts in standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholders and is compatible with collet chucks and milling arbors sized for 3/16 inch shanks.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch shank. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (material codes M, S, H). No coolant-through capability; external coolant or mist lubrication is recommended.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth before tightening. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an safe mode before changing or measuring tools. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's runout specification — TIR maximum for this tool is 0.0005 inches, and excess runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce surface finish quality.
