The SECO 03083983 is a solid carbide ball end mill in the STB440M.2 series, designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. With a 6.00 mm cutting diameter, 4-flute geometry, and a variable helix design, this tool supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single pass. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. Micrograin carbide construction provides the edge integrity needed when cutting hard materials at elevated surface speeds.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers in job shop and production environments where close-tolerance work on difficult-to-machine alloys is routine. The short length configuration and straight-cylindrical shank provide rigidity and minimize deflection in deep-pocket and contour milling applications. A 3.00 mm nose radius enables smooth profiling, scallop-free floor finishes, and 3D contouring on mold, die, and aerospace components.
