The SECO 03083959 is a single-end square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN, it delivers hardness and thermal resistance needed when cutting hard materials and stainless steel. The 4 mm cutting diameter pairs with an 8 mm length of cut and a variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation. With a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank and a maximum TIR of 0.0005 inches, it seats precisely in standard collet or end mill holders. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, or production environments install and run this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling hard materials and stainless steel, including exotic alloys, in both roughing and finishing passes where a 4 mm tool diameter is specified. The STR440M.2 series geometry is optimized for right-hand cutting with helical flutes, making it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for small-diameter tooling. It is a single-end tool, so it is replaced rather than flipped when the cutting end wears.

Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or wear before clamping to maintain TIR within tolerance.
