The SECO 03080507 is a 7/8 inch (0.8750 inch decimal) indexable insert drill from the PerfoMAX series, designed for general-purpose drilling in metalworking and machining applications. Built with a straight cylindrical shank measuring 1 inch in diameter, the drill body accepts two indexable inserts — compatible styles include SCGX and SPGX — allowing insert replacement without removing the full tool from the spindle. Maximum drill depth is 66.8 mm at a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during production drilling. The tool body is constructed from steel and weighs approximately 2.0 pounds.
This drill is suited for production and job-shop environments where consistent hole quality and repeatable depth performance are required. The PerfoMAX platform is engineered for general-purpose drilling in steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials on CNC machining centers and drill presses with adequate spindle rigidity. The straight cylindrical shank interfaces with standard toolholders accepting a 1 inch shank. The modular connection size is R7, and the neck diameter measures 1.378 inches.
