It accepts two indexable inserts in compatible styles SCGX and SPGX, allowing insert rotation or replacement without removing the tool body from the machine. The drill body is constructed of steel and features a 1-inch straight-cylindrical shank with a 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio, achieving a maximum drill depth of 103.12mm at a cutting diameter of 20.62mm. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat control at depth. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The 03079566 is suited for general-purpose drilling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a consistent, repeatable hole diameter near 20.62mm is required. Its modular R7 connection size and straight shank make it compatible with standard toolholders and spindle setups found on machining centers and CNC lathes.
