The diamond 80-degree included angle and neutral hand orientation make it well suited for general turning, facing, and boring operations. It delivers four usable cutting edges per insert, with a chamfered and honed edge preparation that supports consistent tool life across production runs. Primary target workpiece material is cast iron, with secondary suitability for steel and stainless steel.
This insert is intended for use in turning, facing, and boring applications on ferrous materials, particularly cast iron at material grades K10, K20, and K30. It fits CNMA-style toolholders that accept clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods. Typical applications include roughing and semi-finishing passes on production lathes in industrial and job-shop environments. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and CNC operators. The neutral insert hand suits a range of toolholder configurations without requiring dedicated right- or left-hand bodies.
