The SECO 03062793 is a DNMG432-M5 series indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr under the Duratomic coating classification. Designed with a 55-degree diamond shape, negative rake, and neutral hand, the insert provides four usable cutting edges per body. The M5 chip breaker geometry features a chamfered and honed cutting edge style suited to moderate to heavy material removal. The inscribed circle measures 0.5 inches, insert length is approximately 1.22 inches (15.5 mm), and corner radius is 0.0315 inches (1/32 inch). Clearance code is N, tolerance code is M. Designed for use in DNMG-style toolholders that accept a 432 insert size (inscribed circle 0.5 inches, thickness 3/16 inch) with clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods. This insert is installed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert screw hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not over-tighten the clamping screw, as carbide inserts are brittle and susceptible to fracture under uneven clamping load. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
