The SECO 03060304 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including stainless steel and high-temperature superalloys. Part of the SECO JS720 series, it features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and six flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a high helix angle of 38 degrees. The HXT coating provides thermal and wear resistance suited to the elevated cutting stresses found in M- and S-group workpiece materials. With a 30 mm length of cut and 83 mm overall length, this is a short-reach, single-end, centercutting tool intended for professional machinists and toolroom technicians.
This end mill is configured for roughing operations on stainless steel and superalloys in CNC machining centers. The straight-cylindrical shank at 12 mm diameter mounts directly into standard ER or hydraulic collet toolholders. Its short length-type classification keeps deflection low during aggressive material removal passes. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, expanding its utility in slotting and pocket-milling operations common in aerospace, medical, and process-industry component work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for CNC machining centers accepting a 12 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Optimized for milling stainless steel (ISO material group M) and high-temperature superalloys (ISO material group S).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or toolholder to the full recommended gauge-length engagement before spindle startup. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on multi-flute carbide tools. Always follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when changing or setting cutting tools.
