The SECO 03060294 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 6 mm cutting diameter and a 1 mm corner radius, it delivers controlled edge geometry that reduces chipping and extends tool life in difficult-to-machine alloys. The 6-flute design increases feed rates and improves surface finish compared to lower-flute-count tools. An HXT coating provides thermal resistance and lubricity, making it well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill in the SECO JS720 series, intended for use in standard CNC milling tool holders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel and high-temperature superalloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician following the tool holder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before inserting the shank. Use a calibrated tool presetter to confirm overall length and runout before cutting. Verify that cutting parameters — feeds, speeds, and depth of cut — are set per the material and operation type, as improper parameters accelerate wear on carbide tooling.
