The SECO 03046269 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features a 14.70 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree split point, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature applications. The two-flute spiral design promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the straight-cylindrical shank with a 16.00 mm shank diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. Part of the SD205A series, this drill is built to ANSI standards and is suited for machinists and toolroom technicians working on production or maintenance operations.
This drill is intended for use in machining centers, CNC drilling operations, and manual drill presses where precision hole-making is required. It targets steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials classified under workpiece material codes P, M, K, and H. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 83.00 mm flute length support consistent chip flow at standard drilling depths up to 63.00 mm. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use drill bit for CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a 16.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank, within the SD205A series product family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or changing the drill bit. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the correct grip depth before applying torque to locking hardware. Verify workpiece clamping and machine RPM settings are appropriate for the material and drill diameter before initiating a cut.
