The SECO 03046208 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features a 8.80 mm diameter, a 140-degree point angle, and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting conditions. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral design promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the straight-cylindrical shank provides secure tool holding in standard drill chucks and collet systems. This is a production-grade cutting tool suited for machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and maintenance technicians working on metal fabrication and precision drilling operations.
This drill bit is designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials, covering workpiece material codes P, M, K, and H. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 6xD and a maximum drilling depth of 49.00 mm (2.4034 inches), the SD205A series is well matched to CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machine tools where consistent hole quality and dimensional accuracy are required. It conforms to ANSI standards and carries an m7 diameter tolerance for reliable fit in precision work.
Designed as a high-performance replacement or production drill for applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials (material codes P, M, K, H) within the SECO SD205A series, sized 8.00 mm to 9.00 mm range.
Installation is performed by machinists or qualified machine operators. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet, drill chuck, or toolholder before use, and verify runout before beginning a cutting cycle. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are set per the applicable cutting data for the workpiece material before engaging the drill. This tool does not support coolant-through delivery — apply external coolant or cutting fluid as required by the operation.
