The SECO 03046206 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It carries a TiAlN coating and a 140-degree point angle suited for aggressive entry into hard, abrasive workpieces. The bit runs in a right-hand cutting direction with a regular spiral flute and a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 10.00 mm in diameter. At 103.00 mm overall length with a 61.00 mm flute length, this drill fits standard CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines where a jobber-length reach is required. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
This drill is built for production and job-shop environments where the workpiece material is steel, stainless steel, cast iron, or other hard materials classified under material codes P, M, K, and H. The SD205A series is engineered for a 6xD flute-to-diameter ratio, making it a practical choice for through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations where chip evacuation and tool rigidity are both critical. Maximum drilling depth is 49.00 mm. The drill does not support coolant-through delivery, so external flood or mist coolant is the recommended approach for heat management.
Designed for use in standard straight-shank tool holders, collets, and drill chucks compatible with a 10.00 mm shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual drilling equipment used on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician following the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck or collet to the manufacturer's specified clamping torque range for the holder in use. Because this drill does not have coolant-through capability, apply adequate external coolant or cutting fluid to manage heat buildup during operation.
