The SECO 03046191 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. Part of the SD205A series, it features a 7.20 mm diameter, a 140-degree point angle for reduced thrust and improved centering, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The two-flute, right-hand spiral design promotes efficient chip evacuation. At 91.00 mm overall length with a 53.00 mm flute length, this drill is suited for moderate-depth applications where dimensional accuracy and edge integrity matter. It is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and maintenance technicians working with CNC or conventional drilling equipment.
This drill bit is engineered for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials, making it applicable across general manufacturing, fabrication shops, and industrial maintenance environments. The 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports controlled chip flow in blind and through-hole operations. The straight-cylindrical shank at 8.00 mm diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. No coolant-through capability is present, so external or flood coolant is recommended when drilling harder or heat-sensitive workpiece materials.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, H). Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting an 8.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Conforms to ANSI standards; drill bit size falls within the 7.00 mm to 8.00 mm range class.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with drilling parameters for carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before mounting or removing the drill bit. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck or collet to the holding system manufacturer specifications to prevent runout. Because this bit has no coolant-through capability, apply external or flood coolant to manage heat when drilling stainless steel, cast iron, or other hard materials.
