This drill bit is suited for screw machine operations, CNC drilling, and production boring applications where short, rigid tooling is required. Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to the torque specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and coolant supply pressure is set per machine specifications before beginning a drilling cycle. Inspect the drill point for chipping or wear before each production run.
