The SECO 03043616 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. This single-end, right-hand cutting tool features a 1/2 inch mill diameter with a 0.0614 inch corner radius and five straight flutes, providing smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finishes. The AlTiN coating delivers high heat resistance, making it well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The SN500R series designation indicates an extended-reach geometry with a 1-1/2 inch reach length and a 0.444 inch neck diameter, allowing access to deeper features without full-diameter contact along the shank transition.
This end mill is used in CNC milling applications where corner radius profiling, slotting, or contouring is required. The stub length of cut at 0.020 inch and the 0 degree helix angle support rigidity in radial engagement situations. The cylindrical 1/2 inch shank fits standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and side-lock holders commonly used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is not center-cutting and is not intended for plunge entry. This tool is appropriate for use in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments running aluminum, titanium alloys, hardened steels, and similar materials that benefit from AlTiN-coated carbide tooling.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in E-stop or lockout state before inserting or removing the tool. Confirm the toolholder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. This tool is not center-cutting and requires a pre-drilled or pre-milled entry point for plunge-style operations.
