The SECO 03043615 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a controlled corner profile. Built on the SN400R series platform, this single-end tool features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 0.0614 inch corner radius, and 4 straight flutes with right-hand cutting direction. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. With a 0-degree helix angle and stub-length geometry, this end mill is suited for rigid setups where axial depth is limited and surface finish requirements are tight. Machinists and toolroom operators specify this geometry for shoulder milling and corner contouring in CNC machining centers.
This end mill is appropriate for use in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers handling ferrous alloys, hardened steels, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The extended-reach configuration, with a 1-1/2 inch reach length and 0.4440 inch neck diameter, allows access to recessed features without sacrificing rigidity. The 1/2 inch cylindrical shank fits standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and side-lock adapters common in production and toolroom environments. The stub flute length of 0.0200 inches makes this a specialty profile tool rather than a general-purpose rougher.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use tool in CNC machining setups requiring a 1/2 inch cylindrical shank corner radius end mill. Part of the SECO SN400R series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the 1/2 inch cylindrical shank in a properly rated collet chuck or shrink-fit holder before mounting in the spindle. Verify runout with a dial indicator prior to cutting; excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and coating type.
