The SECO 03043609 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations where a controlled corner radius is required on part features. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN, it handles tough alloys and hardened materials at elevated cutting temperatures. The 0.0432-inch corner radius promotes smooth transitions at part edges and reduces stress concentrations in finished workpieces. With a 3/8-inch diameter and 4 straight flutes, this end mill suits slotting and profiling passes where dimensional accuracy is critical. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in job shops and production environments.
This end mill is built for use in vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines where extended-reach tooling is required. The 1.125-inch reach length and 0.329-inch neck diameter allow access into deeper pockets and stepped features without interference. The stub-length design with a 0.0180-inch length of cut keeps the tool rigid during short cutting engagements. It is appropriate for machining ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys in both roughing and finishing strategies where corner geometry must be held tightly.
Designed for use in standard cylindrical-shank toolholders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter. Part of the SECO SN400R series of corner radius end mills.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists following shop tooling procedures. Secure the cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before beginning cuts. Confirm the machine spindle is fully stopped before loading or removing the tool. As this tool is non-centercutting, avoid plunge entries directly into solid material.
