The SECO 03007665 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Part of the S638R series, it features a 1 inch diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length. The 0.030 inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces chipping on harder workpiece materials. An AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life during aggressive material removal. With six flutes and a 38-degree helix, this end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing operations. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool with a right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 03007665 is appropriate for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual mills where a straight cylindrical shank can be held in standard toolholders. Its close-pitch flute geometry supports material removal in ferrous alloys and difficult-to-machine materials including superalloys and titanium. The stub length profile provides added rigidity, reducing deflection in applications with moderate depth-of-cut requirements. This end mill is a practical choice for shops that machine P, M, K, and S material group workpieces across a range of industry applications.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1 inch cylindrical shank. Compatible with vertical and horizontal machining centers running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting; TIR maximum for this tool is 0.0005 inches. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's torque and clamping specifications for the holder style in use.
