The SECO 03007662 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 0.1200 inch corner radius, and six flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a 38-degree helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. At 4 inches overall length with a 1-3/4 inch length of cut, this tool is built for both roughing and finishing operations. Machinists and CNC operators in production shops and job shops are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on machining centers and CNC mills working in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, expanding its range of applications. The stub-length configuration keeps the tool rigid under high feed rates, making it practical for side milling, slotting, and profiling where corner blending or radius features are required. It mounts in standard straight-bore toolholders sized for a 3/4 inch shank.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch shank. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Before mounting, ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or burrs. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the toolholder to minimize runout; maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inch. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters against the applicable cutting data for the workpiece material before starting the cut.
