The SECO 03007654 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.625 inch mill diameter, 1.625 inch length of cut, and a 0.0300 inch corner radius, this tool is built to handle both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. The six-flute, right-hand spiral geometry paired with an AlTiN PVD coating delivers heat resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. A 38-degree medium helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining edge stability across a wide range of workpiece materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments rely on this geometry for consistent dimensional output.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The S638R series stub-length design provides added rigidity, making it a practical choice for side milling, slotting, and profile work where chatter control matters. The centercutting configuration allows plunge entry when required. It is intended for use in standard straight-cylindrical toolholders and collet chucks in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Close pitch flute spacing supports stable cutting in tougher alloys and interrupted cuts.
Designed for use in straight-cylindrical toolholders and collet chucks. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces in CNC milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the 0.625 inch straight shank fully into the toolholder collet to the recommended gauge line and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout against the stated TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches before beginning the cutting operation.
