The SECO 03007647 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. With a 1/2 inch diameter, 6-flute geometry, and a 0.0300 inch corner radius, this tool is built for both roughing and finishing passes on ferrous and exotic workpiece materials. The AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life and supports higher cutting speeds in abrasive materials. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, it fits standard toolholder setups and delivers consistent results in production and job-shop applications. Installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals, it suits vertical and horizontal machining centers running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium.
The 03007647 is engineered for use in applications involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Its stub-length configuration, close-pitch flute spacing, and 38-degree medium helix angle make it well suited for high-feed passes where chip evacuation and surface finish both matter. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, increasing setup flexibility. The straight-cylindrical 1/2 inch shank mounts directly into standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders, collet chucks, and hydraulic holders accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling, and verify the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification after clamping to maintain tolerance and tool life. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material and coating type.
