The SECO 02960879 is a WCMT32.52-F1 series solid carbide turning insert designed for finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Manufactured to the TP2501 grade with a Duratomic CVD coating process applying TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr layers, this insert delivers high wear resistance across a broad range of cutting conditions. The 80-degree trigon (W) shape provides three usable cutting edges, and the F1 chip breaker geometry is optimized for light, precise finishing cuts. This insert is suited for use in CNC turning centers and manual lathes performing boring, facing, and turning operations. Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard insert-change procedures for screw-lock toolholders. Always verify correct insert orientation and torque the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification.
