It features an 80-degree diamond insert shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a 0.5-inch inscribed circle with a 1/32-inch (0.0315-inch) corner radius. The insert carries the TP2501 manufacturer grade and is finished with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr, which supports extended tool life across a range of workpiece materials. The F1 chip breaker geometry delivers a sharp cutting edge suited to finishing and light-to-medium material removal passes. Machinists and CNC operators working in job-shop or production environments will find this insert appropriate for steel-focused turning work.
This insert is suited for boring, facing, and turning operations primarily on steel workpieces, with secondary application capability on stainless steel and cast iron.
